Check performance and security signals
Monitor uptime, page loading, unusual errors and traffic changes. Look at mobile experience as well as desktop. Review security notices and access logs with the hosting or technical team when there is a specific concern. For a website with customer accounts or transactions, define who responds to an incident and how affected services will be restored.
A practical review rhythm
For a changing business website, short checks of forms and essential pages may be needed more often than a fuller monthly review of content, updates and reports. Larger changes, integrations and access permissions can be reviewed on a separate schedule. Assign a named owner and record what was checked, what failed and who will resolve it.
When to ask for website support
If your team cannot reliably manage updates, backups, form testing or technical changes, discuss the required work with your website provider. Confirm the scope, response process, hosting responsibilities and what happens after an issue is found.
